Abigail has dedicated her career to public service, working for nonprofits serving and empowering children and families globally and in the U.S. who are most likely to be impacted by systemic inequality. Abigail joined Start Early in 2012 and has supported professional development implementations across multiple states and communities. Prior to Start Early, Abigail was a Leadership Year Fellow at the Pew Charitable Trusts in Washington, D.C., led international development projects in rural Kenya, and managed adult education programs for refugees in Cairo, Egypt.
She holds a Master of Public Policy and certificate in International Development from Duke University and a B.A. in Foreign Affairs and minor in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Virginia. She is the co-founder and former Board President of Refugees Thrive International.
