Manda Klein leads the work of the National Center , which provides training and technical assistance to the Head Start Regional Staff in support of parent, family, and community engagement for the Office of Head Start.
She brings over 25 years of experience as an early childhood administrator and advocate. She is a former Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Director and the Founding Executive Director of the National Migrant and Seasonal Head Start (MSHS) Association. Her prior work gives her a rich national perspective and deep knowledge of both the nation’s early childhood systems and state-specific challenges that shape policy, regulation, and cross-system communication.
Manda serves as Vice Chair of Texans Care for Children, a non-profit in Austin, Texas, that drives policy change to improve the lives of Texas children. She also serves as the President of the Lubbock High PTA and the LBK Stock Show Association and volunteers at various non-profits in her community.
Manda is a native Texan and a graduate of Schreiner University. She holds a master’s in public administration from The Center for Public Service at Texas Tech University.
Manda lives in Lubbock, Texas, with her husband, Todd, son, John, and their 5 dogs, Wally, Eva, Brownie, Charlie, and Blue.
