Megan Turner is a Manager on the Consulting Team. Her career in education spans over a decade working across the District of Columbia, specifically birth to five and K-12. Prior to joining Start Early she worked for the DC State Superintendent’s Office managing the universal Pre-K expansion grant for community-based early learning centers operating high-quality Pre-K programs. She is dedicated to ensuring parent and community voice are heard and that all children and families have equitable access to birth to five early care and family supports. The depth of her early learning and community engagement experience spans Early Head Start/Head Start, home visiting, tutoring, family engagement, program creation and implementation. She holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Bowie State University, a master’s degree in curriculum and instruction from Trinity Washington University and currently pursuing her doctorate in Urban Educational Leadership from Morgan State University.  Megan currently resides in the Washington DC Metro area.
