Michael Hoffman is the Chief Operating Officer of Start Early. In this role, Mike leads all operations efforts at Start Early, and oversees the People & Culture, Finance, Information Technology, and Corporate Operations divisions.

Prior to Start Early, Mike was the Director of the Illinois Department of Central Management Services and served as the state’s Chief Administrative Officer and a Senior Advisor to the Governor. He has also served as chief operating officer in various organizations, including multiple units of the U.S. Marine Corps and the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.

He has a master’s degree from the Naval Postgraduate School and holds project management and Six Sigma certifications. He lives in Naperville, Illinois, with his wife, Natalie, and his two sons, Matthew and William.
