Susanne Beilmann is a Manager on the Start Early Consulting Team. As a manager, she delivers consulting services to system leaders and advocates at the state and community level, helping build high quality and equitable prenatal to five systems. Along with her team, she actively seeks to center the voices of families and providers in consulting services she providers. Prior to joining Start Early, she worked as an advocate for child care providers and families to increase engagement and leadership in policymaking and other initiatives. She also supported efforts for the We, the Village coalition, working with other advocates, systems leaders, and providers and families to increase funding, equity, and sustainability for Illinois’ early childhood care and education programs. Susanne also has subject matter expertise in quality rating and improvement systems, especially in Illinois. She has worked at a women’s anti-violence organization in Vancouver, British Columbia as well as with the UN Refugee Agency in Bogota, Colombia. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in public policy, both from the University of British Columbia. Susanne currently lives in Chicago, Illinois, with her husband and son.
